                Carolina Green Industry Network Aboriculturalists

Carolina Green Industry Network has within its organization members of the International Society of Arboriculture, National Arborist Association, and local arborist associations.

These valuable contacts can provide you with insights and services to manage your tree resources. It enables you to network in with professional arborists to diagnose, treat, and solve concerns related to arboricultural issues.

Arboriculture is one of the branches of horticulture within the plant sciences. Arboriculture concerns the cultivation of woody plants, particularly trees shrubs, and vines.

Urban areas (communities with populations of more than 2,500) in the United States support approximately 3.8 billion trees. Metropolitan areas are home to 80% of the U.S. residents and contain 74.4 billion trees. Metropolitan area encompass about one quarter of the nations tree canopy cover. Caring for these trees are professionals in the field of arboriculture.

In today’s ever decreasing Green Space, trees are an essential benefit. A 1,000 acre study of a tree preserved residential community with a typical number of common species in a metropolitan area showed impressive benefits. The study showed the trees remove 1,485 tons of pollution from the air. In layman's terms, the trees store the equivalent of carbon emissions of 182,717 cars for one year, or the equivalent of emissions of 106,792 single family homes for a year. Had these trees been removed due to lack of input from professional arborists, all this pollution abatement would have been lost.

Carolina Green Industry Network will expand your network to include the arborist professionals that will help you with your commitment to a sustainable Green future.
